Reporting to the Technical Director, the TA assists the TD in scheduling, maintaining drawings, general paperwork. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintain CAD drawings of shows.
- Assist in developing and distributing technical work schedules.
- Do research as directed by the TD.
- Maintain and update technical paperwork including automation cue sheets.
- Maintain and update show specific health and safety paperwork.
- Create, and update systems drawings.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, independent worker who is able to multi task. A high level of proficiency is required in Word, Excel and AutoCad. Applicants should have a college or university theatre degree, plus a minimum of 2 years experience in technical theatre. This may include any aspect of production (carpentry, painting, electronics, sound, wardrobe, running shows etc.), but must incorporate some experience in technical direction and/or production management. Preference will be given to applicants with supervisory experience, CAD drafting, and experience working in a unionized environment.
The contract will be approximately 3 months beginning in February.
